How our Discussion Circles work
1. Independent learning
Before each of our online meetings, you will:
Watch a Video: Before each session, we assign a short 15–20 minute video about interesting topics such as business, psychology, or education. We select videos that are fun, informative, and thought-provoking.
Answer Grammar and Comprehension Questions: As you watch the video, you will answer a few grammar and comprehension questions to test your understanding.
Apply the new information: How can the information you have learned in the video be useful in your life? Answer the written follow-up questions.
2. Share your Ideas (Writing Practice)
Find out what your classmates think!
Write and Post Your Ideas: Complete a short writing task related to the assigned video and post it in our online classroom.
Engage with Classmates: Read your classmates' opinions and share your reactions. Do you agree or disagree with what they have to say? Can you expand on their idea? This prepares you for the live discussion!
3. Group meeting (Speaking Practice)
Time for our discussion circle! We meet together in a video call.
Share Your Thoughts: Speak with the instructor and other students, share your opinions, and discuss the ideas in the video.
3. Get Better (Feedback)
See what mistakes you have made after each session and learn what to do better next time. This is the quickest way to improve your English!
Receive Corrections: Your instructor will send back your written answers with personal feedback and corrections. If there was a mistake you repeated several times during the discussion circle meeting, your instructor will provide feedback after.
Improve Your Writing: You can see where you made mistakes and learn what to do better next time. This is the quickest way to improve your English!
